The KI.KA Summer Tour 2010 is making a stopover at the 

For the seventh time, no less, ARD and ZDF, two German TV channels, are taking their children’s channel on a tour of Germany. There are eight cities on the programme for the KI.KA Summer Tour 2010 and Düsseldorf Airport is the only stopover in North Rhine-Westphalia.

 

KI.KA presenters Singa Gätgens, Juri Tetzlaff and KI.KA LIVE presenter Jess will be introducing a richly varied stage programme, lots of music, exciting games and endless fun.  This will be taking place on Sunday 1 August from 10 am till 5 pm across the whole of the terminal’s departure level and on the outside parking areas P11 and P 12.

 

Lots of KI.KA stars have said they’re coming so that they can have a huge party and celebrate with their fans. For example, amongst those coming along are: KiKANiNCHEN’s Bunny, Nouky the Bear & his friends, the Little Blue Elephant, Bibi Blocksberg the Witch, Maja the Bee and her friend Willi, Tabaluga the Dragon, Bernd the White Loaf, Chili the Sheep, Briegel the Bush and lots more!

 
Here are some of the programme highlights 

KiKANiNCHEN 

This is the Bunny’s first appearance on the KI.KA Summer Tour and, on stage with presenter Christian, he will be hosting a programme specially designed for 3-6 year-olds for them to join in. 

 

The Little Blue Elephant

The Little Blue Elephant will be tramping and trumpeting his merry way through the programme with the Elephant Show, where everything revolves around the world of pre-school children. With the Pink Hare, he will be inviting you to join in puzzles and activities whilst presenter André Gatzke performs some elephantastic experiments

 

Bibi Blocksberg

When the little witch Bibi Blocksberg makes her appearance, her fans will be enthusiastically taking to the dance floor because, on the occasion of her 30th anniversary, she has devised something very special: the 'Party Dance with a bit of Magic'. 

 

Bernd das Brot

The KI.KA comedy stars Bernd the White Loaf, Chili the Sheep and Briegel the Bush are also coming to the airport, bringing with them a musical show with lots of cheeky sayings. Parties are there to be celebrated, first and foremost with lots of singing, but – and who’d have thought it – Bernd the White Loaf is not in the mood ...

Tabaluga

The little green dragon Tabaluga with his Happy Show is another guest on the KI.KA Summer Tour. But the nasty snowman Arktos plays a mean trick on Tabaluga and cheats him of his lucky star. But will that really bring Arktos lots more good luck? 

 

Löwenzahn

Alarm bells are ringing at the blue caravan in Löwenzahn Stage show. Is there any way of stopping the old oak tree in Freddy the Fox’s garden falling victim to a new road? And there’s also a walk-in caravan waiting for visitors. 

 

 
Other items in the programme 

OLI’s Wilde Welt  with lots of audience participation will be offering great excitement with the good old favourites Das grüne Buch andKönig der Tiere . Providing the music, amongst others, will be Tanzalarm and the KI.KA band Saphir.

 

Older kids can look forward to seeing the stars from Schloss Einstein: Luisa Liebtrau  Sabrina Wollweber (Woolweaver), Miriam Katzer, Julia Turkali and Nini Tsiklauri are coming to the airport, bringing with them in their luggage a musical surprise for all their fans.

 

In addition, all visitors can get actively involved at one of the numerous action islands: onBernd das Brot-Kletterwand, at the Hands-on Mill, the Good Night House, the TRICKBOXX, the Roary Pit Stop, Volkswagen’s Traffic School and lots of other attractions.



Anlässlich des Wissenschaftsjahrs Energie präsentiert das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung außerdem die Mitmach-Ausstellung ScienceStation. Hier können Besucher jeden Alters selbst experimentieren und ihren Forschergeist rund um das Thema Energie wecken lassen.

 

With energy the theme in this year’s Year of Science, the Federal Ministry for Education and Research is also presenting the Hands-on Exhibition Science Station where visitors of all ages can do their own experiments and stimulate their intellectual curiosity with the focus on the topic of energy.

Fantastic Airlebnis offers at the airport 
As on every Airlebnis Sunday, the airport is offering free tours of the apron. Entry to the two Visitor terraces is also free on 1 August. In addition, the Tenants Association at the airport’s arcades and the staff at the Travel Market have thought up some attractive shopping and travel offers, fantastic promotions and lots of ways for you to enjoy yourself.
Getting here
If you make use of the Park Special offer, you can park your car at the airport for six hours at a price of €5. To do so, you simply need to exchange your entrance ticket at the ‘Airlebnis Sunday Infopoint’ on departure level B near the escalator.

Because we’re expecting a large number of visitors, we would recommend that you use public transport to get here. It’s very easy to get to Düsseldorf Airport by bus and by train on the ÖPNV network.
